Download Silent Wings Viewer

To download the software, you need a user account. If you haven't already done so, register a user account and log in before proceeding.

Hardware Requirements:

These are the mimimum requirements, better hardware will be able to run the software better.

250Mb disk space (more if the bigger sceneries are installed)
512Mb RAM
1GHz CPU
3D Graphics card with at least 64Mb RAM
1024x768 screen resolution

Installation Instructions

Download the file for your operating system below. The installation package contains both the Simulator and Viewer programs, so if you already installed Silent Wings Simulator, you also have the Viewer.

Windows version

OS Requirements

This version will run on all 32- or 64-bits versions of Windows from Windows XP to Windows 10.

Mac OSX version

This version will work on all versions of Mac OSX, from version 10.4 and upwards.

There are known issues with El Capitan (10.11) and newer, where the program may crash upon exit.

Linux version

This version has been tested on recent versions of Ubuntu and a few other Debian-based Linux distributions. It should work on other distrubutions as well, but you may have to install 32-bits support libraries and OpenGL packages manually.

To install, simply unpack the tarball and run the supplied install.sh script. This should install launcher icons compatible with most desktop environments. You can also run the software from the command line with the supplied SilentWings and SilentWingsViewer scripts.
